Innovations in large scale marine microalgae cultivation, using flue gases from fossil-fuel power plant.   Seambiotic has developed a high yield, cost efficient, ecologically minded technology to produce large quantities of marine microalgae biomass with low production cost, by using both the flue gas and water from coal burning power stations.
The Company proprietary technology has been granted patent protection.

In November 2009, Seambiotic signed a License Agreement and a Joint Venture Agreement with Yantai Hairong Electricity Technology Ltd Associated with China Guodian Corporation, to establish a Chinese joint venture for the commercial cultivation of microalgae.

The construction of a 120,000m²microalgae plant in Penglai, China, which will be connected to the smokestack of a local coal burning power station will be completed at end of Q2 this year, and production to start shortly after.

Seambiotic business model welcome partners to establish together farms worldwide.

Seambiotic is a world leader in the production of marine microalgae using flue gas from coal burning power stations. Seambiotic’s proprietary technology allows for the commercial production of a variety of microalgae species at a fraction of the price of its competitors, with the additional advantage of simultaneously reducing harmful CO² emissions from the smokestacks of power plants.

Seambiotic has successfully tested its technology and methodology for the last five years in its pilot plant situated in Ashkelon, Israel, connected to the smokestack of the Israel Electric Corporation
